On Friday, December 14, 2018, a schedulded maintenance will be carried out between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.
Google and Mozilla withdrawing the trust of certificates issued directly or indirectly through Symantec's Certificate Authority (CA). This will take effect with the Chrome version 70 or Firefox version 63. Many other software projects, such as Perl and PHP use the Mozilla trust store or are inspired by it and will soon follow suit. Therefore, we need to replace the certificate for api.domrobot.com, otherwise there is a risk that applications will no longer be able to communicate with our interface.
During the exchange, our interface (api.domrobot.com) may be unavailable for a short time and requests can not be processed. However, this period should only extend over a few minutes and not be noticed during normal operation. However, depending on the application used, your systems may receive error messages during the changeover.
As a precaution, we point out that the certificate for api.domrobot.com will change more frequently in the future and we will no longer announce these changes separately. Therefore, we do not recommend setting API clients firmly to our certificate (so-called certificate pinning). On the other hand, you may like to set your clients to the CA "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" that we will use in the future.
In addition, we will use HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) and OCSP Stapling to further enhance the security of our API. If you find it difficult to reach our systems on Thursday after the conversion, you can contact us at any time by e-mail at support@inwx.de or by phone on 030 983 21 21 21.
These maintenance work only concerns the API to us. Our website and your customer area will not be affected by this maintenance.
